House GOP Conference Chairwoman Lisa McClain, R-Mich., is fiercely backing a conservative school board member facing ousting for his military service.

Ray Stier, a member of the Richmond, Michigan school board, was deployed to the Middle East, continuing to attend meetings virtually.
