Rep. Sewell Slams ActBlue Foreign Donation Probe as GOP ‘Retribution Against Black Women’

Representative Terri Sewell (D-Ala.) strongly criticized Republican efforts to investigate a prominent Democratic fundraising organization, ActBlue, on Wednesday. Sewell characterized the ongoing fraud probe as the latest example of GOP retribution specifically targeting Black women in positions of power.

“Over and over again, Donald Trump’s Department of Justice has harassed Black women with bogus lawsuits,” Sewell stated, setting a contentious tone for her remarks.
