Trump Name Ripped From Kennedy Center Facade After Failed Legal Battles; Judge Cites Need for Congressional Act

Workers began the process of removing President Donald Trump’s name from the Kennedy Center facade on Friday, following a judicial ruling and the denial of an emergency appeal by the Kennedy Center’s board. The appeals court rejected the board’s request to halt the removal of the signage, which had been added to the building just months prior.

The Kennedy Center board had initially approved the addition of Trump’s name in December, citing his role in averting financial difficulties for the institution. The name was affixed to the facade the following day. However, legal challenges ensued, leading to a judge’s order for its removal.
