From “Little Marco” to Trump’s Trusted Right-Hand Man
Remember when critics dismissed Rubio after his 2016 run? He could have faded away or turned against the movement like so many others. Instead, he chose loyalty. He embraced MAGA with conviction and became one of President Trump’s most effective advocates.
Trump adviser Alex Bruesewitz put it perfectly: “JD Vance is a fantastic vice president, and Marco Rubio is a great Secretary of State. [Rubio] could have gone the route of John Kasich and begin to suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome and fade into the abyss… He chose the route of embracing MAGA and becoming one of MAGA’s staunchest allies and advocates.”
A senior White House official echoed the praise, calling Rubio “loyal, wicked smart, articulate and very seasoned… a winner.” Another insider added: “Everyone loves Rubio. He’s very confident, very competent, and very relaxed. This is a guy juggling multiple jobs in the administration and on the world stage and he is absolutely crushing it.”
Sean Spicer, Trump’s former White House Press Secretary, highlighted Rubio’s “great story” and called him “one of the most effective messengers” for the movement. Even conservative firebrand Laura Loomer declared on X: “How could someone not support Marco Rubio? He is going to be President someday. Mark my words.”
