Rep. Terri Sewell Slams GOP ActBlue Foreign Donation Probe as ‘Retribution Against Black Women’

Regina Wallace-Jones, ActBlue’s CEO, has firmly pushed back against the investigation, calling it baseless. She maintains that ActBlue employs rigorous scrutiny in its donation processing to ensure compliance and prevent illegal contributions.

Wallace-Jones elaborated on ActBlue’s robust safeguards, stating, “Our approach is multilayered, with checks and confirmations occurring throughout the donation process to verify donors and donor information.” She detailed that the organization mandates Card Verification Values (CVVs) for credit card donations, utilizes IP addresses to pinpoint foreign-sourced contributions, employs an industry-standard Address Verification System (AVS), and conducts manual reviews of donations to enhance security and prevent fraudulent activities.
