Rep. Terri Sewell Slams GOP ActBlue Foreign Donation Probe as ‘Retribution Against Black Women’

For Rep. Sewell, the investigation targeting ActBlue and its CEO, Wallace-Jones, is not an isolated incident. She views it as “tainted” by a pattern of investigations into Black women who have previously challenged or been perceived as opposing former President Trump, suggesting a broader agenda of political intimidation.

Sewell explicitly stated, “This investigation is just one more example of Republicans and President Trump using power of his office to harass and intimidate anyone willing to challenge him. The Trump Department of Justice has used its power to intimidate and victimize communities of color, especially Black Americans,” reinforcing her claim of politically motivated targeting.
