Rep. Terri Sewell Slams GOP ActBlue Foreign Donation Probe as ‘Retribution Against Black Women’
To further illustrate her point, Sewell cited other cases: “We should not forget the harassment of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors member Lisa Cook, the harassment of the New York Attorney General, Tish James and the harassment of our colleague Congresswoman LaMonica McIver.” She presented these as examples of similar politically driven harassment.
Concluding her statement, Sewell expressed, “It is not surprising that this Republican-led committee is now attacking ActBlue and its CEO, Ms. Wallace-Jones,” signaling her belief that the investigation is part of a calculated, partisan strategy rather than a legitimate inquiry into foreign donations.
