Jim Acosta’s Berlin Wall Blunder: Mocked Mercilessly for Trump Kennedy Center Name Removal Meltdown

In a move that has ignited widespread ridicule, former CNN anchor Jim Acosta live-streamed for nearly 11 hours, anticipating the removal of President Donald Trump’s name from the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. The prolonged vigil culminated in an astonishing and widely mocked comparison between this event and the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Acosta, a prominent anti-Trump media figure who previously served as CNN’s chief domestic correspondent, hosted the marathon coverage on his YouTube channel, “The Jim Acosta Show.” The stream primarily featured a live view of scaffolding obscured by a tarp, where workers were engaged in the removal of Trump’s name from the iconic building. Around 3:30 a.m., Acosta declared, “This is very much like watching the Berlin Wall coming down.” He further elaborated, stating, “It is a sign that mankind, that human kind can stand up against tyranny.” He emphasized the importance of their continuous coverage, suggesting it resonated with many people.
